Mary is based in the Christchurch office and joined Corcoran French in 2019 after three years in a busy provincial practice and having spent two years prior to that as in-house counsel in a large property development company at the height of the Christchurch residential rebuild. Before that Mary worked for many years in private practice in Christchurch, specialising in commercial and property law.
Mary has broad experience in property acquisition and development, structuring property sharing arrangements, construction law, the sale and purchase of businesses, joint ventures, contracts, succession planning and implementation, trusts and asset protection.
Mary enjoys personal contact with her clients and prides herself on her ability to make transactions as stress-free as possible.
Mary has also worked in family law and litigation, before spending some years as an “at home” mother involved in various community organisations, so she has extensive and varied legal and life experience. Out of the office Mary enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling and gardening. Mary enjoyed the years that she spent involved with school committees and the board of trustees, but now that her three children are all adults, Mary is enjoying her freedom!
