Colin Smith has stepped aside from his role as a partner at Corcoran French / Hannan & Seddon.

Colin is however continuing on as a Consultant to the firm.  As a Consultant, Colin will work on special projects and offer advice on specific areas of expertise.

Colin won’t be in the office on a daily basis and is no longer available for ongoing legal work, with that work now being transitioned to other team members.

Corcoran French have committed to the local West Coast community and the local Hannan & Seddon legal offices will survive Colin’s stepping back from day-to-day legal practice.  The Hannan & Seddon office continues to be run by our local partner Ryan Keen, along with the rest of the local team.  The local team is further backed up by lawyers in Christchurch and Kaiapoi with regular visits to our Greymouth office by partners and other team members from Christchurch and Kaiapoi.

In 2021, Hannan & Seddon amalgamated with Corcoran French, a firm with offices in Christchurch and Kaiapoi.  The amalgamation between Hannan & Seddon and Corcoran French provides Hannan & Seddon clients with access to a wider range of legal services and specialist expertise than otherwise available on the West Coast.

Colin’s change of pace doesn’t mean you’ve lost your lawyer.  Contact us to discuss who would be best suited to assist you with your ongoing legal needs.
