Corcoran French Lawyers has an exciting 2025 lined up – commencing a transformative journey; reimagined with revitalised branding and alignment, and relocating the Christchurch city office premises.
From Moorhouse Ave to Armagh St: Corcoran French begins a new chapter in central Christchurch
On 23 April, the law firm’s Christchurch office will relocate from Moorhouse Avenue to 74 Armagh Street, more commonly remembered as the notable RSA building. Not losing sight of the history that the address holds, the poppies on the side of the building will remain flourished, illuminating as the sun rises every morning.
Moving premises represents much more than just upgrading spaces. It’s part of a desire to enhance the client experience and provide a more comfortable and modern environment. Yet, the core of the Corcoran French philosophy remains unchanged.
For the last 130 years, the firm has built a reputation on being approachable and reliable. Whether it’s a first home buyer, small business owner, or large corporation, Corcoran French provides tailored services with the same level of care and professionalism. As they step into this new chapter, Corcoran French remains committed to the people who have been at the heart of their success: their clients. The new office is a space that reflects who Corcoran French is – a firm that honours tradition but isn’t afraid to evolve.
A fresh, new look
In addition to a relocation for the firm’s city office, Corcoran French will also be debuting its brand refresh and re-imagined colour palette. The new logo and colour palette has been chosen to incorporate modern, earthy, nature-inspired hues and showcases a strategic balance of green, soft taupe browns, and a contemporary blue. Evoking the Te Ao Māori concept of kaitiakitanga and symbolising Aotearoa New Zealand’s stunning landscapes, the new palette reinforces the firm’s commitment to being grounded, growth-oriented and future-focused, while giving a nod to those that have come before and the history of the firm.
The reimagined brand embraces modernity while maintaining the customs and values that have long defined its success. This rebrand will take effect April 1, 2025.
Same trusted team: new name – Hannan & Seddon becomes Corcoran French
Hannan and Seddon, the firm’s Greymouth office, has been a division of Corcoran French since its acquisition in 2021. But, as of April 1, Hannan and Seddon, are now Corcoran French. This change unifies all three offices, displaying the collective branches working together as one. It’s business as usual though – the West Coast team is the same hardworking and client-focused team, and will be providing the expert and friendly advice they’re known for.
Despite a year of changes, Corcoran French’s values remain unchanged. Client experience and satisfaction remains the top priority for the dedicated law firm who will continue to provide effective solutions for Kiwi businesses and individuals at every stage of life.
