We are committed to continually improving the way we work and reducing the environmental impact of our business. Through thoughtful choices, collaboration and ongoing innovation, sustainability is becoming part of how we operate every day.
Our Toitu Journey
Sustainability is a long-term commitment, and achieving meaningful change starts with understanding our impact.
Working with Toitu Envirocare has helped us better understand our environmental impact and identify practical ways we can reduce it over time.
Achieving Toitu Carbon Reduce certification is an important milestone in our sustainability journey, but it’s not the finish line.
Sustainability Committee
Our Sustainability Committee brings together people from across the firm who are passionate about driving positive environmental change.
The committee helps identify new initiatives, encourages sustainable behaviours throughout the business and monitors our progress towards our environmental goals.
Our committee members are: Rowan Aspros, Lisa Mackintosh, Reyma Hilaga, Sonya Kelly, Rebecca Ryan & Natasha Paul.
Sustainability as a part of our brand
Sustainability is considered in the way we represent our brand.
We choose promotional products that are designed to be reused, responsibly sourced and made to last. Rather than disposable giveaways, we invest in practical items our clients and team can use every day.
This includes; Hyrdoflask drink bottles, reusable coffee cups, sustainably sourced pens, and reusable tote bags.
Sustainability in Our Offices
Small actions can make a meaningful difference when they become everyday habits.
Across our offices we have introduced practical initiatives to reduce waste and improve resource efficiency, including:
• Soft plastics recycling
• Energy-efficient multifunction printers and photocopiers
• Printing only when necessary and encouraging digital-first workflows
• Reducing paper consumption wherever possible
We continue to review our workplace practices and look for new opportunities to lessen our environmental impact.
Supporting local – Three Llamas Coffee
Supporting local businesses is an important part of how we approach sustainability.
That’s why we proudly serve coffee from Three Llamas Coffee, a family-owned Canterbury roastery dedicated to producing high-quality, ethically sourced coffee.
Their beans come exclusively from a small mountainous region in northern Peru, where they work directly with growers to support fair trade practices and long-term relationships.
Encouraging Sustainable Travel – Workride
We’re committed to making sustainable travel an easy choice for our team. Whether it’s walking, cycling, carpooling or using public transport, we encourage our people to consider lower-emission ways of getting to and from work.
To help make cycling more accessible, Corcoran French also participates in the WorkRide programme, giving eligible employees the opportunity to purchase bikes and e-bikes through a salary sacrifice scheme. It’s a practical way to support healthier commuting while reducing our environmental impact.
