Ryan joined Corcoran French's Christchurch commercial team in 2016. After 6 years in our Christchurch office Ryan moved to Greymouth in 2022 and as a partner leads our Greymouth team. Ryan continues to visit Christchurch often and is available to see clients in Christchurch by appointment.
Ryan is a property specialist assisting in the sale and purchase of residential, rural and commercial property, rural and commercial leasing, subdivisions and a variety of other complex property matters. He also acts in respect of a variety of business transactions, financing arrangements and assists the firm’s rural and business clients with succession planning. Ryan is also able to advise in respect of wills, enduring powers of attorney and trust matters.
Ryan is on the Executive Committee and the Property Transactions Subcommitee of the Property Law Section for the NZ Law Society. Ryan was also recognised by NZ Lawyer among other young lawyers nationally as one of the Rising Stars of 2024.
Prior to joining Corcoran French, Ryan worked at a leading national firm in their commercial property team with a focus on commercial leasing, residential and commercial conveyancing and private client work. During his time with that firm he also provided a litigation support role, assisted in general resource management and environmental law work as well as assisting with general property matters, often touching on the Public Works Act.
Ryan enjoys skiing, running and reading. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends and is an avid technology and computing whiz.
