Martin practices in the litigation area including civil and estate claims, ACC, resource management, local government, employment and leaky homes claims. His court appearances include the High Court, Court of Appeal, District Court and Environment Court. He acts for a wide variety of clients including local authorities.
Martin graduated in 1979 from the University of Canterbury. He moved to the West Coast, becoming a partner in the Greymouth firm Hannan & Seddon in 1987. He returned to Christchurch and joined Corcoran French as a partner in 2000. Martin was our Managing Partner from 2010 through to 2020.
Martin is based in our Christchurch office. He is also available for appointments at our Kaiapoi office.
Martin is married with two sons. He enjoys gardening, running, skiing and going to the gym. In his spare time he also enjoys reading and listening to music.
